Be a flight attendant

I was ready to take my first video interview. I imagined something like a Skype conversation. But it was nothing like that, there was nobody on the other side! Try to talk to your laptop, while you can see yourself in the corner of the screen, but you can't look at it, because you need to keep an eye contact with the camera lens. Weird as it is, suddenly you're given a question. By the time you realize, what they're asking, time for the preparation is over and recording starts. Multiply by five and the interview is finished. No chance to re-do it, sent straight to HR. I felt beyond embarrassed, they will never hire me!

I applied for couple of airlines, so I had to do more of these interviews. I can't really say it was getting better with each try. I was still the same nervous and didn't think my performance was any good.

Few weeks passed and I didn't hear from anybody. Better than a denial letter, but still... I was following all the possible discussions, where everybody was bragging about getting the interview invitation, or even being hired, and me? Still no answer. I started to panic, maybe it's time to start thinking about another career. But one day, when I was about stop hoping, the message came, I passed the video interview and they would like to meet me! I couldn't be more excited! I set the interview date and was waiting for further information. Few days before the interview I still didn't receive any details. That is weird! Long story short, they forgot about me and the interview group was already full, I'll have to come another time! Ugh, do I really want to work for them?

Luckily, another invitation came not long after the first one. My favorite airline invited my for the interview. Unlike others, they even provided me confirmed tickets from Europe. I felt that I was about to get the job!

And I did :-). The day I was hired, two more airlines invited me for the interview. But why would I go, when I got the job with the airlines of my dreams? So at the end, I didn't get any denial and I was flying on a fluffy cloud of happiness, I'm going to become a flight attendant!

One day, I will share the interview experience. I must say, it was the most pleasant part of the whole interview process. If I made it, you will as well!

The interview day!
